The Bower, Fishponds, is a community build project of 14 homes and a community hub. We have been working with a group of self-builders and our architect on the design and submitted our planning application in April 2016.
We have already received so much support and encouragement from many friends, sustainability experts, local neighbours and politicians for our proposition. Thank you everyone, we could not do this without you! We hope that this project will be one of, if not the, most advanced housing scheme for sustainability and grassroots empowerment in the UK.
Steffie is the 2016 South West Energy Efficiency Champion of the Energy Efficiency and Retrofit Awards for championing sustainability and energy conservation at the Bower. Please see the brief project summary and Sustainability Action Plan for further details.
